Welcome to LoopU. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LoopU platform and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using LoopU, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.


1. About LoopU


LoopU is a student marketplace that allows users to buy and sell items in a secure and simple environment. The Platform is intended for students of Fordham University.


2. Eligibility


To use LoopU, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Have a valid @fordham.edu email address

• Agree to these Terms


LoopU reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these criteria.


3. Accounts and Access

• Registration is free.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.

• LoopU is not liable for any unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your login information.


4. For Buyers


4.1 How to Buy


Browse listings and use the “Buy Now” or “Make an Offer” options to initiate a purchase.


4.2 Payment


All payments are processed via Stripe. Funds are held until the buyer confirms receipt.


4.3 Cancellations & Refunds

• If you change your mind, simply don’t confirm the pickup. After 14 days, your payment will be automatically refunded.

• Only the item cost is refundable. Platform and Stripe processing fees (2.9% + $0.30 + 1% platform fee) are non-refundable.

• Refunds are only granted for items that are not as described and must be requested within 14 days of payment.


5. For Sellers


5.1 Listing Items


Create a listing by uploading images, descriptions, and pricing details.


5.2 Fees

• No listing fees for basic users.

• A 10% commission applies to each successful sale.


5.3 Payouts


Sellers are paid within two business days after the buyer confirms receipt.


6. Safety and Disputes


LoopU prioritizes user safety:

• Transactions are secured through Stripe.

• Disputes and scams should be reported immediately to LoopUtrade@gmail.com.

• We monitor activity and may take action (including suspension) against suspicious accounts.


7. Refund and Return Policy

• Buyers can request a return within 14 days of payment if an item isn’t as described.

• Platform and processing fees are not refunded.

8. Prohibited Conduct


Users may not:

• Use false information

• Sell illegal, counterfeit, or stolen goods

• Spam, harass, or impersonate others

• Circumvent fees or conduct off-platform transactions


Violation may result in permanent suspension.


9. Limitation of Liability


LoopU is not responsible for:

• The condition or legality of items sold

• Delivery or pickup logistics

• Third-party services (e.g., Stripe)


LoopU provides the platform “as is” without warranties of any kind.
